Google Chrome OS unveiled, released to open source community

The Wii Remote, launched alongside the Nintendo Wii in November of 2006, is one of the components behind the Wii's unique control scheme. By utilizing an infrared sensor, the remote's motions through 3D space are detected for use in game controls. In functionality, it acts much like a mouse pointer that can also detect moving forward and backward movement and rotation. The Wii Remote, commonly called the Wiimote, runs on two AA batteries and has an expansion slot to plug in other accessories such as the Wii Nunchuk. The Wiimote also comes with an Anti-Slip jacket and wrist strap to prevent the remote from flying out of the player's hands.
