The Electronic Arts Rock Band Wireless Guitar is an alternative to the bundled guitar controller that comes with the game. This model is compatible with the PlayStation 2 and 3; the wireless guitar is also available for the Nintendo Wii and the Xbox 360. The guitar body is modeled after a Fender Stratocaster, though in place of the strings are two sets of five buttons, one set near the head of the guitar, the other set near the base of the neck near the strumming bar. There is also an effects pickup switch that toggles between special effects activated during Overdrive mode. The controller interfaces with the game console via Bluetooth.
