The iPad has landed.

Belkin's Nostromo SpeedPad n52 is the successor to its acclaimed n50 gaming device, and as such, it has added a few elements to the original design. Designed for a player's left hand, the wrist rest arches to position the hand perfectly above its 14 action keys, four more than are found on the n50. Proper hand placement also allows the thumb to easily reach the directional pad, or D-pad, which resembles those found on older Nintendo systems. Below the D-pad sits a lever that defaults to the space bar's function, and above the D-pad is the default Alt button, though every key of the SpeedPad n52 is configurable via the included software. There is also a small scroll wheel to the bottom corner of the keyboard, which substitutes for a mouse's scroll wheel. Additionally, the n52 can be programmed to record macros, assignable to any button or combination of buttons, and the software allows the saving of different configuration profles for use with other games. The Belkin Nostromo SpeedPad n52 measures 9.8 inches wide by 11.3 inches deep by 3.5 inches tall, weighs 2.6 pounds, and is compatible with Apple Mac OS 9.0.4 or later, Apple Mac OS X 10.1.2 or later, and Microsoft Windows 98/ME/2000/XP.
