WWDC is Apple's annual Worldwide Developers Conference, where developers for the Macintosh and iPhone platforms gather for technical sessions, hands-on instructional events with Apple engineers, and other special sessions geared toward sharing technical know-how to platform developers straight from the engineers who designed and built the systems. This year's event will be held June 8 to June 12 at San Francisco's Moscone Center.
Expected topics for WWDC 2009 will be the upcoming new Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard and the new iPhone 3.0 operating system. It is unknown if CEO Steve Jobs will attend this year's event due to a health-related leave of absence from the company until the end of June.
