Google Chrome OS unveiled, released to open source community

The GSM Association's Mobile World Congress 2009 (once known as the 3GSM World Congress) is a mobile technology event spanning four days from February 16 to February 19, host to new mobile product information, unveiled applications, and product exhibitions.

MWC 2009, to be held in Barcelona, Spain, is expected to draw 50,000 registered attendees and will cover topics such as mobile money transfers, community interaction via mobile communication, ecologically friendly devices, and mobile phones for children. While the topics may be oriented toward the mobile companies, the exhibitions will be revealing applications, technologies, and products destined for businesses and private consumers, featuring over 1,000 different exhibitors.

MWC 2009 will also host the Global Mobile Awards of 2009, which features categories like Best Mobile Game and Best Mobile Technology Breakthrough.

Among the phones expected to be fully announced at MWC 2009 is the Arena KM900 by LG and Samsung's M7600 touchscreen.
