Google Chrome OS unveiled, released to open source community

Samsung's XL2370 is the first LED-backlit monitor from Samsung, and it claims to be the company's "highest performance" computer monitor; it backs that claim up with full 1080p resolution, a very quick 2-millisecond response time, and a borderline-absurd 5,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio.

It features the "Touch of Color" semi-transparent design Samsung's been hitting home for a little while now, and it's supposedly eco-friendly (as everything claims to be these days), using 40% less power than the average display of the same size.

The price hasn't been announced yet (it won't be cheap) but it looks like it'll be released in Europe and "other parts of the world" (North America included, we hope) in August of 2009.
