LG's W53 SMART monitor is an LCD display varying from 18.5 to 27-inches in screen size. Models with 21.5-inch screens or larger have a full HD, 1920 x 1080 resolution, and all sizes feature a 50,000:1 contrast ratio and a 2-millisecond response time for playing fast-action games. The SMART moniker is derived from LG's automatic brightness technology, which senses the brightness of the room and adjusts the screen's picture quality to match. You can also switch on the Cinema mode, designed to help you watch online videos by blacking out any surrounding distractions. Although there is no word on prices yet, the monitor should be released in April 2009.
