The BenQ E2400HD is a 24-inch widescreen LCD in BenQ's line of 16:9 monitors. Boasting a 1080p display, the E2400HD has a maximum resolution of 1920x1050, which is just shy of true 1080p, VGA, DVI and HDMI 1.3 inputs for hooking up your computer or video game consoles, and a 5ms response time which BenQ says drops to 2ms when adjusting grey to grey for greater clarity. The 10000:1 dynamic contrast ratio is much higher than Dell's otherwise comparable S2209W 16:9 LCD (whose advertised ratio is 1000:1), but so is the price; the BenQ starts at $399 compared to the Dell at $239. Other plusses include built in speakers, HDCP support for playing protected Blu-ray content and environmentally friendly RoHS certification.
