Google Nexus One and HTC Supersonic 4G smartphone heading to Sprint

The Cyber-shot T700 attempts to straddle the fence between easy approachability and high performance. Sony's Cyber-shot series is designed small and sleek (the T700 measures 3.75 x 2.38 x 0.66 in), and is available in a range of colors. Despite its size, 10.1 megapixels is still near the top of consumer-level offerings, and it has a 4x optical zoom. As far as point-and-shoot convenience, it includes a face detection system and their Intelligent Scene Recognition, both of which are designed to automatically optimize camera settings for exposure, flash, and white balance based on the objects in the image, their color, and ambient lighting. Storage comes in the form of 4GB internal memory.

The unique highlight of the T700 is the 3.5 inch high-res (921,000 pixels) LCD touch screen. This interface is designed to streamline access to built-in editing software and navigable photo albums. To compare, this is the same screen size as the iPhone, but with a sharper resolution still. In fact, Sony hopes the T700 can double as a portable photo frame for pictures it takes itself, or uploaded from elsewhere. Connectivity includes a USB port and a combination component and mini HDMI adapter cable for HDTVs.
