According to Panasonic, the Lumix DMC-G1, available in red, black and blue, is the first camera to be based on the Micro Four Thirds System standard, which reduces body weight and size by eliminating the internal mirror structure commonly found in DSLR cameras. Weighing 1.28 pounds, the camera sports a 3.0-in hi-res 460,000-dot LCD, a 60fps Live View Finder, a 12.1-megapixel Live CMOS sensor, and an HDMI output.
