Google Chrome OS unveiled, released to open source community

Officially announced on April 14, 2009, although rumored for some time before, the Nikon D5000 DSLR camera is capable of shooting both 12.3 megapixel still images and 720p  (1280 x 720 pixel) high definition video clips at 24 frames per second with sound. The D5000 also features a Vari-angle LCD monitor that can either be folded close to the back of the camera as a typical LCD or swiveled out, rotated, and tilted so shots can be framed by the photographer from different positions. Files are recorded to an SD/SDHC memory card. Videos are saved as Motion JPEG AVI files. The camera also features an integrated HDMI port for connecting the camera to an HD capable television for viewing both the photographs or video recorded on the D5000. The D5000's ISO ranges from 200-3200 normally, but can be expanded to a Lo 1 setting of ISO 100 or a Hi 1 setting of ISO 6400. The kit version of the D5000 comes with Nikon’s AF-S NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR image stabilization lens. The D5000 kit is expected to arrive in late April 2009 at an estimated price of $849.95, while the D5000 body will be sold without the lens for $729.95. The kit model with included lens is currently available for pre-order from Amazon.com and is listed as shipping on April 27th, 2009. See the full press release below for more details.
