3D TV coming to Best Buy this week

Nikon's D40, released in December 2006, is their least feature-rich extant digital SLR model, but also their most affordable. A 6.1 megapixel resolution is mid-range for current digital cameras, and comparatively low next other digital SLRs. Sixteen ounces is relatively small and lightweight for this class of camera. Maximum sensitivity is ISO 1600, and it can shoot up to 2.5 fps for consecutive shots. There is basic built-in editing software to touch up pictures on the 2.5 inch LCD screen for red-eye and various other tweaks. Exposure compensation comes in 1/3-stop steps, and three metering modes, including spot metering, are designed to automatically optimize it. The interface and menu-browsing on the LCD is intended to be especially helpful and educational by demonstrating example pictures for particular settings. SD or SDHC cards handle storage, and the camera has one port each for USB and component video cables.
