The Coolpix S60 compact camera follows the S50 with a larger megapixel resolution, higher optical zoom, and updated auto-adjust functions. The camera comes with a 10.0 megapixel resolution, a 5x optical zoom with a Nikkon glass lens, and a number of optimization functions such as image stabilization, low light shooting up to ISO 3200, and a scene-detect mode that will automatically choose a setting for the camera. The S60 also has a 3.5 inch touchpanel LCD monitor, a significant upgrade from the normal monitor of the old version which lets users add their own notes to photos. In addition to the smoothing functions, the camera has several other optimization features, among them smile shutter for capturing expression, and blink warning to let shooters know when subjects are closing their eyes.
