3D TV coming to Best Buy this week

The COOLPIX P80 would be classified as a compact digicam were it not for its 18x zoom lens. It's a powerful lens for a form factor this small, and is unique to the P80 and P90 in the otherwise ultra-compact COOLPIX line. Its resolution potential maxes out at 10.1 megapixels, and light sensitivity ranges from ISO 64 to 6400 with manual or automatic adjustment. Image optimization features include exposure metering (matrix, center-weighted, and spot), face detection, red-eye reduction, automatic selection of up to 17 shooting modes, and image stabilization to help reduce blur induced by camera shake when zooming in on a distant image. Continuous shooting mode can record 13 frames per second for up to 30 seconds, but only when resolution is set for 3 megapixels or lower.

The camera stores JPEGs and movies (with sound) as WAV and AVI files, but it doesn't store raw files like many high-end DSLRs can. There is 50 MB of internal flash storage space, but most storage is handled by SD or SDHC cards which can scale upwards of 16 GB.
