The PowerShot SD700 is a compact camera in Canon's ELPH line, featuring a 16:9 aspect ratio for widescreen snapshots along with Canon's image stabilization technology to remove blur caused by hand tremors. Although models in the 800 and 900 lines have a higher resolution, the SD700's 6.0 megapixel sensor is backed by a 4x optical zoom similar to that of later digital cameras in the ELPH lineup. Users can choose to record movies at a 60fps frame rate for higher quality or slow motion effects, and choose from a wide range of unique scene modes including Foliage for flora shots and Stitch Assist for building panoramic shots of the surrounding landscape. Prices for the SD700 start at $689.44.
