Anounced in September 2008, the EOS 5D Mark II is Canon's full-frame DSLR following the original EOS 5d with expanded megapixels and a video function. In addition to updating the full frame CMOS sensor to 21.1 megapixels, the camera adds full HD video capture capabilities to its features. The second generation EOS 5D also has a three inch LCD screen, an ISO range from 100-6400 (expandable to ISO L: 50, H1: 12800 and H2: 25600), and Canon's fourth generation DIGIC Image processor to power automatic functions such as the Lighting Optimizer.
The 5D II continues Canon compatibility with more than 60 EF lens and most EOS accessories, as well, including Speedlite flashes. The Canon EOS 5D Mark II will be selling for a suggested retail price of $2699.00, applicable only to the camera body.
