The EOS-1Ds Mark III descends from the long line of EOS-1 cameras, which comprised Canon's entry into the commercial autofocus arena. The Mark III upgrades the megapixel count from the previous Mark II, moving from 16.7 to 21.1 MP. The body of the camera features a 3.0-inch LCD display, a self-cleaning sensor that uses ultrasonic vibrations to remove dust from the lenses, and is compatible with all Canon lenses in the EF lineup as well as UDMA (Ultra Direct Memory Access) memory cards. The EOS-1Ds Mark III measures 9.5 inches wide by 8.1 inches tall by 7.5 inches deep, and weighs 7.9 pounds.
