Google Chrome OS unveiled, released to open source community

The VAIO L is Sony's first touchscreen PC. It's an all-in-one desktop with a 24-inch multi-touch display. It has an over-the-air digital TV tuner and a Blu-ray player built in, so it doubles as an HDTV.

Internal hardware specs haven't been announced yet, unfortunately. That's surprising considering that the launch is close. On the other hand, Engadget's hands-on impressions of the L's software were less than favorable, so maybe some things are even now still on the drawing board.

Sony plans to price the VAIO L at $1,299, with the launch coming in the next few weeks.
