Google Chrome OS unveiled, released to open source community

The Lenovo ThinkCentre A61, released in September 2007, is an entry-level PC focused on security and energy efficiency. It features an AMD dual core processor, an embedded security chip for access protection, and a total energy requirement of 45 watts. The A61 hard drive comes with a standard capacity of 80GB, but can be customized up to 500GB (7200rpm), as can the 512MB of RAM, which is upgradable to 8GB. An ATI Radeon X1250 card supports graphics, and a Gigabit Ethernet connection is available for networking. Users can connect devices through the 6 USB ports, the keyboard and mouse ports, and the DVI analog/digital video connection. Lenovo has also made a solar panel addition optional for starting the A63 using solar energy. Prices start at $369.
