Google Chrome OS unveiled, released to open source community

The Lenovo IdeaCentre K230 is a high end desktop designed to handle anything you can throw at it. The base K230 features an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 5 GB of DDR3 RAM, a 500 GB HDD, a DVD burner and Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit. Compared to the K220, which is designed to view and share media, the K230 is designed to be powerful enough to create and edit your own.

Available upgrades include Intel Core 2 Quad processors, up to 8 GB of RAM and a 1 TB hard drive. Gamers can add a Nvidia GeForce 9300GE graphics card for DirectX 10 support, while cinema addicts can add in the optional Blu-ray drive. On the software front, the K230 comes with Lenovo Rescue System which enables a user to restore the PC, run antivirus or recover data even when the system is crashed. When paired with a Lenovo L222 or L195 LCD monitor, the K230 takes advantage of the monitor's built in webcam to enable Lenovo VeriFace technology which unlocks the computer using the user's face instead of a password. Additionally, the Bright Vision and Bright eye technologies can automatically adjust the brightness of your monitor to reduce eye strain.
