Google Chrome OS unveiled, released to open source community

The Acer Aspire X3200 continues the line's balancing act of high-performance yet affordable home theater PCs. While the basic specs aren't as high-end as Acer's Predator gaming platform, the X3200 features more options for connectivity and high-definition video delivery at a lower price point. The most affordable package includes a 2.1GHz AMD Phenom X3 Triple-Core 8450 CPU, 2GB of RAM, and a 360GB hard drive, but performance-minded users have the option to upgrade to a quad-core processor, 8GB of RAM, and a terabyte (1,000GB) of hard drive space. Users can also opt for a 1080p 24-inch monitor, which can be put to good use with the system's integrated Blu-ray drive and built-in NVidia GeForce 8200 graphics card.

While the 8200 isn't exactly a gaming powerhouse, the desktop comes with an empty slot and an option for a hybrid SLI card - an upgrade for high end performance. Regardless of the GPU upgrade, this model can operate as the brain for a broad home theater array with connectivity options that include ports for VGA, HDMI, audio, FireWire, eSATA, and nine USB-- the most ports in the Aspire line. Despite all the ports, the tower itself is comparatively quite small, measuring less than a foot tall, and about four inches wide.
