This comparator is remarkably bad for these products. It seems to be taken from a comparator for cell phones, which is not very applicable. The most interesting differences between the products entirely fail to surface. Such as the Kindle's free cellular wireless data access, enabling its use without a computer. Or appropriate estimates of battery life for this kind of device (page turns, etc.).

Don't take this the wrong way, but this comparator is really misleading for these products.

Woah, very weak on the comparison. Here are some adjustments:

Battery Life - Sony looks at the number of page views (it is not LED lit, so that means that viewing one page is minimal on the battery's charge). So flipping pages is what would drain the battery.

One major thing you forgot to look at here are the formats that are supported. For instance, the Sony e-reader supports RTF, PDF and TXT files as well as it's own format. Kindle does not support PDF to my knowledge, and they charge to convert it. This was the one piece of information that helped me decide which one I wanted to get.

You are missing some input for the Kindle 2

I am pretty sure it has a QWERTY keyboard

Although I fell in love with the looks of the Sony, I recently splashed out on a BeBook (Astak clone) - the single deciding factor = formats supported. Not only does this reader support the widest range I could find, it also has ongoing 3rd party firmware development at Openinkpot, whose firmware actually looks better than the OEM! My opinion? - steer clear of being tied to a narrow product range and go for flexibility at a good price. Next year there will be a new range of readers and these will all be dinosaurs anyway when the Plastic Logic device arrives ......

The plastic logic is too big, I would like to have the kindle 2 without keyboard and a bigger screen.
