Google Chrome OS unveiled, released to open source community

T-Mobile's Shadow is an entry-level smartphone that combines business functions with media options, featuring quad-band world service (850/900/1800/1900 MHz), a keypad revealed by sliding up the front cover, and Windows Mobile 6 operating software. The phone has text messaging compatibility with AOL, Yahoo!, MSN, and ICQ services, along with Bluetooth capabilities for no-hands communication, and a music player to listen to downloaded songs. Users can snap pictures with the built-in 2.0 megapixel camera, view the images with the phone's 2.6-inch, 320 x 240 screen, and send them to friends or coworkers through the email feature. Those looking for a full QWERTY keyboard or push-mail services may want to consider T-Mobile's Wing instead (499.99), although with rebates and discounts the Shadow can be found for a less expensive $99.99 via T-Mobile's website.
