Released on October 22, 2008, the T-Mobile G1 (formerly known as the HTC Dream) is the first phone running Google's Android operating system to be released to the public, as well as T-Mobile's flagship 3G handset.The touchscreen phone has a sliding LCD display that reveals a full QWERTY keyboard housed underneath, and also has hardware buttons as well as a trackball for one handed navigation. The G1 comes pre-installed with a variety of Google-owned applications, such as Google Maps, Google Talk and YouTube, and other applications can be puchased and downloaded from different online marketplaces, like Google's own Android Marketplace, T-Mobile's official app store, and third-party app store Handango.
[Update 5/7/09]: The G1 will be launching in Canada as the HTC Dream, exclusively on Rogers Wireless on June 2, 2009.

Yeah the 1GB limit is ridiculous. T-Mobile is shooting themselves in the foot with that move.

if only i had any T-Mobile service at my house... and if only i could justify having 2 phones again... there must be a compelling and perfectly logical reason. i will find it.

I have ordered the G1 already, but I dont live in a 3G service area. I wonder how well it wil work using EDGE. Anyone have an idea?

could someone help me.........I do not know how to find the voice dictator that translates your dictation into a text.........
The G1 does does have that right?
