Google Chrome OS unveiled, released to open source community

The XPERIA X10 is Sony Ericsson's first Google Android phone. While its specs are impressive, the big draw is its software interface codenamed "Rachel," which will appear in other Sony Ericsson phones in 2010. It's a custom UI built on top of Android 1.6. The most significant feature of Rachel is "Timescape," which collects all your communications with a particular contact (Facebook, e-mail, text messages, etc.) into one timeline.

XPERIA's hardware features include an 8.1-megapixel camera, a 4-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen display, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and AGPS. It's all close to the top of the line. Unfortunately, pricing is still a mystery, but we do know the phone will hit the market sometime in the first quarter of 2010.
