Google Chrome OS unveiled, released to open source community

Sony's Ericsson C901 GreenHeart shares the same innards with the regular C901, but is infused with the new green and sustainable spirit of Sony Ericsson, who hopes to reduce company CO2 emissions by 20 percent by 2015. To that end, the GreenHeart line was introduced featuring reduced packaging materials, recycled plastics, and optimized power consumption from more efficient light sensors. The C901 GreenHeart's casing is made of 50% recycled plastic and ships with the MH300 GreenHeart headset made of 100% recycled plastic in the majority of its plastic parts.

Specwise the C901 GreenHeart supports quad-band GMS networks and offers USB connectivity, an FM radio, and Bluetooth capabilities, it also has a 5-megapixel camera with a Xenon flash, smile shutter technology for capturing subjects when they smile, auto focus, face detection, and digital image stabilization. For messaging functions the C901 offers SMS and MMS support along with Exchange ActiveSync for more business related messaging. While the phone gives you access to Google Maps, geo-tagging abilities, a YouTube upload function, and a media player, it does not come with WiFi connectivity. The C901 GreenHeart will be released in select markets during the second quarter of 2009.
