Google Chrome OS unveiled, released to open source community

The Sanyo SCP-2700 is a messaging phone announced at CTIA 2009 for the Sprint network. The handset has a 2.2-inch display, e-mail, GPS with turn-by-turn directions using Sprint Navigation, Bluetooth, a personal organizer, voice dialing and a modest 1.3-megapixel camera. Photos taken on the phone can be uploaded using Sprint's Social Zone application that gives users access to Photobucket, Facebook, YouTube, and MySpace.

The phone has a full QWERTY keyboard to make it easy to compose e-mail or text friends, and comes in both a blue version for the boys and pink version with flowers for the ladies.

The handset will be available May 10th for $29.99 with a 2-year contract from Sprint after a $50 mail-in rebate.
