The Samsung Moment is a successor to the popular Samsung Instinct — in fact, it was called the InstinctQ before its official announcement.
The Moment runs Google's Android OS, so it has many smartphone features and Google services built in. It also has a flip-out QWERTY keyboard and an optical trackpad. And Samsung seems to like the number 3.2; the Moment features a 3.2-inch AMOLED touchscreen and a 3.2-megapixel camera.
This handset began shipping on November 1st. The price: $179 if you remember to send in a $100 mail-in rebate. Click the product details tab to see a video showing off the phone's features.
On December 11th, 2009, Sprint announced that the Samsung Moment will be upgraded to the Android 2.0 software that's been making waves on the Motorola Droid sometime in the first half of 2010.
UPDATE 12/18/2009: It turns out this phone will be getting Android 2.1 in 2010, not just Android 2.0. Now that's a win!

Today Samsung announced the Samsung Moment that runs Android. The phone will be coming to Sprint, however we have no specific date. The phone features a 3.2 inch AMOLED touchscreen with a physical QWERTY keyboard that slides out. One would imagine that with the release of the Samsung Moment a veritable bevy of people whose Blackberry just isn't new enough will be getting unsecured personal loans to get one.

Thanks for posting. Samsung always comes up with good models. This is a good model and there is also a new phone named Samsung Fight. This phone has a trendy look. It is very user friendly. Features are not very satisfying, just average. The qwerty keyboard makes typing very easy. The call quality is very bad. Overall its not a smart phone though having qwerty keyboard and touch screen.
