Announced in Seoul, Korea, on April 27, 2009, the Samsung i7500 is Samsung's first Google Android-powered smartphone, featuring a 3.2-inch AMOLED touchscreen, 7.2Mbps HSDPA and WiFi connectivity, Bluetooth, integrated GPS, 8 GBs of internal memory, support for an additional 32 GBs of memory via an optional MicroSD card, and a 5 megapixel camera. The i7500 is expected to arrive in France in July as the Samsung Galaxy. There is no word yet on North American release, carrier, or pricing.

As an early adopter of the G1 I'd be leery of a KWERTY free google phone. The onscreen kwerty is not tested and will likely take some time to polish. I do hope they have a better battery in this model.

For how long cupcake has been taking it should be at least up to par with the iphone's on screen qwerty. I hope at least.
