Nokia's N95 offers the versatility of functions that now come fairly standard with high-end smartphones, such as email support and access to Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files, as well as a range of multimedia functionality. The onboard GPS receiver powers a basic mapping function, but certain applications like turn-by-turn directions will add to your plan cost. Its camera delivers 5 megapixel resolution, which is comparable to entry-level point-and-shoot digital cameras, and records VGA quality (640x480 pixels) video complete with sound. The N95 has an FM radio tuner and supports a variety of music formats and categorization methods, including customizable playlists. There are three different versions. The N95 has only 160MB of internal memory but an SD card slot which can scale upwards of 8GB. The N95 8GB trades the SD slot for 8GB internal memory, and also a slightly larger screen. However, the most important upgrade is the N95 8GB's ability to access its carrier's 3G networks for presumably faster internet speeds. Both models can connect to Wi-Fi hotspots.
