Google Nexus One and HTC Supersonic 4G smartphone heading to Sprint

Motorola's DEVOUR is an Android-based smartphone coming to Verizon. The phone runs version 1.6 of the Android OS, outfitted with Motorola's MOTOBLUR software for social networking.

Departing from Verizon's DROID line, the DEVOUR will likely be priced as an entry-level smartphone, probably around $100 with contract. The phone features a 3.1-inch touchscreen concealing a full QWERTY thumbpad. If you're not interested in covering the screen in fingerprints, an optical trackpad is also available.

Specs are just what you'd expect from a late-model Android smartphone: supports all the major music formats, microSD for expansion (with an 8GB card thrown in to get you started), 802.11 b/g WiFi, and extensive Bluetooth support. As a Verizon phone, it will get access to Verizon's proprietary services, such as VCAST music streaming.

Expect to find the phone in Verizon stores starting in March.
