Google Chrome OS unveiled, released to open source community

HTC's Touch2 is the first in an announced onslaught of Windows Mobile 6.5 cell phones. It's a touchscreen smartphone that uses HTC's proprietary TouchFLO interface.

The phone has a 3.6-inch tilting display, a 3.2-megapixel camera, a physical QWERTY keyboard, GPS, and microSD, but the emphasis seems to be on software. The Touch2 includes a new version of Microsoft's Internet Explorer Mobile web browser, Microsoft Exchange support, Google Maps, YouTube, Adobe Flash, and the Windows Marketplace.

The phone hits Verizon first on September 11th, 2009 for $199.99 with a two-year contract — and after a $100 rebate. It's also available off contract for $489.99.
