The Toshiba Camileo P30 is a compact, pistol-grip-style 1080p camcorder, and is the mid-range model in the Camileo line, which also includes the S10 and H20 models. Intended for families who want to show their home and vacation videos on their HDTVs, it shoots in full high definition — somewhat unusual for compact cameras at the time of its launch.
It features a 3-inch LCD display and has a 5x optical zoom. It also takes still photos at 5-megapixel resolution. That's not remarkable, but it's fair for a compact camcorder. It's available now in Europe for €199 ($263). No North American launch has been announced just yet.
