Sony's MHS-CM1 Webbie HD is one of two portable mini-camcorders Sony released at CES 2009, featuring HD MP4 video recording capabilities, a 5-megapixel CMOS sensor with a 5x optical zoom function, and a 2.5-inch LCD screen that can swivel up to 270 degrees. Users can switch between 10 different scene modes, pre-select videos and images to be instantly transferred upon connecting the device to a computer, and download data onto a Memory Stick PRO Duo with the compatible slot. Sony has also given the CM1 a multi-AV terminal and a USB 2.0 input. Retail prices start at $199.99. The other Webbie HD, MHS-PM1, costs $170 but comes with a smaller, LCD screen without the swivel function and fewer zoom capabilities.
