Google Chrome OS unveiled, released to open source community

Sony's HDR-FX1 is a digital camcorder for serious amateur photographers and videomakers, featuring HDV 1080i recording capabilities, a 3-1/3" 16:9 CCD sensor with technology to brighten dark images, and a Zeiss lens with 12x optical zoom abilities. You can use the 3.5-inch swiveling LCD screen to preview your video and shots, use manual zoom and focus to get the shots you want, and program your own settings into six scene presets. The camcorder also gives you optical image stabilization for smoothing your clips, several shot transition effects to choose from, and analog to digital conversion with pass through technology that lets you immediately edit footage on your PC. The HDR-FX1 has a component video port, an i.Link interface, and an S-Video input/output. Prices start $2024.99.
