Panasonic's new SDR-S26 is a camcorder with a 70x optical ultra-zoom lens. Announced at CES 2009, the SDR-S26 features a system which uses gyrosensors to reduce the effect of hand-shake to accompany its 70x zoom. The S26 will automatically engage features such as the O.I.S. (stabilizing system mentioned above) and face detection along with an automatic scene mode. The S26 records onto an SDHC/SD memory card, making it lighter than a camcorder with an internal HDD. Starting up in only 0.8 seconds, the S26 offers software for easy upload to YouTube and copies made onto DVDs and is available in champagne, black, blue, and red.
