Panasonic's new SDR-H90 is a hard disk drive (HDD) camcorder with a 70x optical ultra-zoom lens. Announced at CES 2009, the SDR-H90 features a system which uses gyrosensors to reduce the effect of hand-shake to accompany its 70x zoom. The H90 will automatically engage features such as the O.I.S. (stabilizing system mentioned above) and face detection along with an automatic scene mode. Able to record onto either the 80GB internal hard drive (up to 72 hours of video in LP mode) or an SDHC/SD memory card, the camera integrates technology that protects the HDD from drops or other impacts. Starting up in only 0.8 seconds, the H90 offers software for easy upload to YouTube and copies made onto DVDs.
