The Panasonic AG-HVX200 is a digital camcorder equipped with a wide-angle Leica Dicomar HD lens and a choice between multiple formats, from full HD 1080p to standard 480i, with 24 and 30 frame per second options. You can preview video with a 3.5-inch LCD display, zoom in up to 13x with the optical zoom, choose from eight gamma settings, adjust image color, shades, and details, and record sound with the built-in microphone. The camcorder also has three programmable buttons and supports P2 cards with downconversion to mini-DV tapes. Panasonic has given the HVX200 component, composite, S-Video, Firewire, and USB 2.0 ports. The camcorder comes with a free 16 GB P2 card and has a retail price of $5495.
