Google Chrome OS unveiled, released to open source community

Like its predecessors the Zi6 and Zx1, Kodak's Zi8 is a pocket-sized, miniature high definition camcorder. In order to compete with the Flip Ultra HD and others like it, the Zi8 adds a slew of new features to the base set up by the Zi6, most notably 1080p recording. Previous Kodak pocketables only did 720p.

The Zi8 retains the Zi6's YouTube uploading, but adds Facebook to boot. It also bumps the LCD screen size up to 2.5 inches, and adds both face tracking and image stabilization — the latter being a very welcome feature since these tiny camcorders are very hard to hold steadily.

You'll be able to buy this model for $179 in September.
