In June 2008, Pure Digital Technologies rolled out its fourth generation mini video recorder, the Flip Video Mino. At 3.3 ounces, this model is one of the smallest, lightest camcorders around. Up to 60 minutes of video with sound can be stored on 2 GB flash memory. Video resolution is 0.31 megapixels, which is comparatively low next to other camcorder offerings. Like its predecessors in the Flip Video line, the Mino is designed to simplify and streamline the process for sharing video and publishing it to the web. A USB connector flips up out of the body of the device to connect to a PC or Mac. Users with a YouTube, AOL, or MySpace account can then click a single button on the computer interface to upload it to one of those sites. The Mino's navigation controls were redesigned to have touch-sensitive buttons, and unlike its predecessors, the in-camera interface can now pause, fast forward, and rewind video playback.
