Google Chrome OS unveiled, released to open source community

Released December 2008 with its companion model, the G1S, Canon's XH A1S is a professional-level camcorder able to record film in high definition footage at full 1080p and download the film data to HDV tape. Users have control over many of the A1S's functions, from the 20x manual zoom its lens provides to image control settings with 23 predefined modes and a choice between the 16:9 aspect ratio and the lower 4:3 ratio. The A1S can film at 24F for motion-picture quality film, 30F for clear frame-captures, and with an industry upgrade it can manage 25F as well. Canon has also equipped the model with several of its automatic clarity functions, including optical image stabilization and instant AF focusing. While the A1S does not have the industry-standard connections for purely professional recording that the G1S contains, it does come at a significantly lower cost, priced at $3999.
