An updated version of the Canon VIXIA HF S10, the HF S11 brings the line's internal storage up to 64 gigabytes (for up to 24 hours of HD video capture) and adds night vision and a better stabilization system to keep capture smooth and cover up for the shakes.
Apart from that, it's very similar to its predecessor: 1080p video capture and 24p, 8.59-megapixel still image capture, a 10x optical zoom, the DIGIC DV III image processor, and AVCHD format support. SDHC cards can be used for additional storage.
The camcorder has already shipped in Japan, and will hit North America in September at $1,399.99.
